#asktheexperts my baby is 1 year 3 month old sir he is sufring for motion continually and i will give ofloxacin oz syrup but it's not control sir

A. if loose motions are not improving then please go for stool examination (stool rm and stool culture). this will tell if loose motions are due to persistent infection or it is a part of delayed intestinal healing or is osmotic diarrhoea or due to lactose intolerance. can continue probiotics like sachet econorm / respule enterogermina (twice daily), ors. cannot give milk and dairy products, sugary diet, biscuits maida, icecream, packet foods, tea, coffee, soda, chocolate, nonveg diet, fried items (cerelac in small children). can give rice, dal, khichdi curd butter milk, apple bananax, lime water coconut water, poha upma daliya. remain in contact with dr. many times loose motions can take 15 days to recover due to intestinalx damage. continue zinc given by dr for healing of intestinal damage.

A. You need to completely stop giving milk when the child is suffering with loose motions and also consult the doctor as there would be multiple reasons associated with loose motion so they’ll help you with right course of medication to start with
