Spit-up becomes a problem if your baby isn't gaining weight.
Hold your baby in a fairly upright position when you feed him
Burp your baby after each feeding and try to keep him in an upright position for half an hour or so.
Don't overfeed your baby.

If he is asleep after feeding, put him on your shoulders and gently pat on the back few times until he burps. If u think he is spitting up too much try reducing his feed and feed him at frequent intervals. While laying the baby keep him in an elevated position with his head higher than the legs. Laying him on the left side will also help. Don't lay down ur baby to sleep without burping. If the baby doesn't burp after trying for long, keep the baby in an upright position on ur shoulders for few minutes atleast twenty minutes to half an hour.
