Q.

#asktheexperts my baby girl is 3months 16days old during her recent vaccination visit she weighed 5.2kg, is she gaining weight properly? she has been on exclusive breastfeeding.. but now the doctor says she hasn't gained the desired weight and has advised to top up feeding with formula atleast for 3 feeds. kindly advise.

A. thankyou for the response, she was 2.38kg when born. Adding 1750 to this sums up to 4.130kg. This means my baby is gaining weight adequately.

A. Ma’am your child should be at least 1750 more than the birth weight right now because a child should be gaining about 500 g in a month so it should be 1750 grams now which is going to be good so please calculate on the basis of the birth weight you will know whether this is correct or not
