#asktheexperts my baby girl age 8 months 17 days .. is not gaining her weight , her weight is 6.25 kg . At time of birth her weight was 2.45 kg .. please suggest us what to do ?

A. Namaste Mom, Babies are expected to almost double their birth weight by the age of 4 to 6 months and later triple by the age of 1 . you could now start with soft foods for her, include rice, roti, dals, panner, sago, ghee, curds , porridge made with ragi, home made cerelac , egg yolk , nuts and seeds etc

You should start giving rotis of Dal rice Paratha full family food to the child plus good vegetarian proteins and dairy products if you want you can also take a nutritionist diet plan after consulting a doctor in person for different and healthy recipes you can also refer to the Baby meal planner section
