Q.

#asktheexperts My 7 month baby boy is showing no interest in breastfeeding. rather he is interested in solid food. we are feeding him with cerelac, boiled and mashed pumpkin, beat root, apple along with liquid dal. kindly suggest it is normal? do baby show no interest in mother milk at this time. pls also suggest what else we can feed him and in what quantity.

A. It happens normally when semi solids are introduced as taste buds gradually develops and the baby start showing inclinations towards foods and feed when baby is hungry and maintain time gap of three hours between feeding and meals

A. As they are curious about new food it can happen but solids are not replacement meal they are just additional food. Breastfeeding is verh important. Have a good gap between meals and milk its important.
