#asktheexperts - my 5 yo kid got his MMR n TDaP vaccination 2 days back, his thighs are hurting still and he is not completely able to walk..

A. Thanks doctor! He doesn’t have fever only pain on thighs where injection was given due to which is not able to walk properly

A. when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection sitze. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beydond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever
