#asktheexperts My 5 months 10 days old is on lactose free formula and his stool is dark forest green, is this normal? his pediatrician had change due to infection and temporary lactose intolerance. its been 2 weeks his diarrhea has stopped can I switch back to normal one??

Sai Prasanthi R LMom of a 12 yr 4 m old boy5 days agoA. Hello! Coloured stools in formula fed infants is normal due to the presence of iron content in the formula. Before switching back, you should confirm with your Dr, if it is a good option to do it or not.
