#asktheexperts My 2 years baby having fever cold and cough from last one week. we had consult with Dr and fever gets down when medicine taken but after few hours again fever get increase. As per Dr we had done blood and urine test and found that there is infection in blood and urine so Dr suggest to admit my child in hospital but from two days fever gets up and down. please suggest thanks

Baby is having cold cough and fever then it can be due to viral infection you need to give him steam inhalation indirectly to times in the day and also keep him well hydrated .consult with your doctor near by who will examine the baby and guide you with appropriate medications in their proper dose.
Viral fever can last from 3-5 days so you need to to give the prescribed medications for this duration at least and if it is persistent beyond you need to go for the investigation as per the advice of the doctor

Hi Dr, My 2 year baby admitted in Hospital from last 5 days for fever cold n cough as I mentioned in my precious Question. today is 6th day in Hospital and still fever getting up and down after 10-12 hours gap. cold n cough is in control now but we are worried about fever only. we had done blood test urine test xray n sonography also done covid test. when we admitted that time wbc count was 19300 and CRP also 81and platelet 538000 after two days wbc is in control but CRP is 40 and platelets is 595000.
Today is 6 th day in hospital and Dr giving antibiotics ,multivitamin and syrup but still Fever gets up and down and not in control. why fever is not
going away please suggest also suggest best treatment thanks🙏
