Q.

#asktheexperts My 2 and half month twins have got mild congestion in throat and nose. I am giving them nasal drops and today is the vaccination time. can I take them for vaccination. is it safe?

A. yes simple cough and cold as well as simple discomfort of the child for a few days is not a contraindication for vaccination and it is advisable to go for vaccination at the earliest. the maximum you can delay would be around 2-3 weeks but afxter that it is advisable not to delay the vaccination if still in confusion you can meet your doctor who will examine the child and tell you whether vaccination delay is preferable or you can go for vaccination

A. good morning I would request you try to be patient for sometime wait for the child able to recover fully and after that you can go ahead and get the vaccination done for the baby but not right now
