#asktheexperts my 17 months old baby has severe itching in genitals, first doctor said it pinworms,then after treating it ,still the problem is same. she felt itching sometimes too severe and then after a while it stops , genitals area is mostly red. we think it can be urine infection. because we figured everything all

Author of questionMom of 2 children1 week agoA. we have checked it out from dermat as well , earlier baby has severe eczema as well in whole body but now that has improved a lot but genitals itching is still there that has worsen with time . dermat has recommended genitals itching cream which is no longer beneficial.

With urine infection the child passes urine a lot of times and redness and the pain is also there so I don’t think it’s precisely urine infection as of now what you do is apply Boroline antiseptic cream regularly but prior to the clean that area properly with mild antiseptic mix with some warm water and avoid using diapers if you are
