Q.

#asktheexperts my 14 month old daughter has cough and light fever but she is not sneezing or having anything coming from her nose but her voice has changed and it feels like chest congestion, when she cries i can here a congestion sound from her chest so i got her examined by a doctor, he mentioned that the chest is clear rather she has blocked nose. In my experience since i am an adult the symptoms seems different, Can anyone confirm if this is true that the congestion sound in babies is from their nose but it seems like coming from chest? I can literally hear khar khar from her chest like when we get wet cough but doctor checked with stethoscope and said its clear. i am so confused. also she screams and doesn't take steam so what can I give her?

A. I will also agree with you as a parent we think the same way but if the doctor has actually checked with the statoscope and confirm that there is no problem in the chest there is no congestion then you should trust your doctor for nasal drops you can use every 5 to 6 hours that is going to be quite benefiting and you can also give steam indirectly you don’t have to give it directly but when you give it indirectly that is going to be acceptable by your child
