#asktheexperts My 11 month daughter has difficulty gulping the food in, she does not take even tiny bite of anything, forces it out or vomits. please help, she is still on fully mashed or grinded foods.

A. hello momma, Try giving him more unmashed food. You can change the food consistency gradually. He will start chewing on his own, or you can teach by eating the same way. U dont need teeth to chew.. U have to give him food which he has to chew.. Show him chew action.. First u have to accept that teeth are not needed to chew. Secondly sometimes if kid swallows its ok.. But 99% of time it shud be chewed. Stop soft or mashed food. Start giving roti bites, khakhra pieces, makhana pieces.. Kurmura pieces.. Veggie sticks..
