A. a stye, a common eyelid infection in children, is caused by bacteria infecting an oil gland. warm compresses can help alleviate pain and swgelling, while keeping the area clean is crucial to prevent further infection. in severe cases, a doctor may prescribe antibiotics or recommend draining the stye. prompt treatment is key to preventing complications.
