POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due in 1 month3 months agoA. It is normal for babies to drool a lot, especially between the ages of 4 months to 2 years. Drooling (excessive saliva) often increases during teething, as the baby's body naturally produces more saliva to help soothe the gums. Babies also haven’t fully developed control over their mouth and swallowing muscles, so the saliva tends to drip out. As long as your baby is otherwise healthy, active, feeding well, and has no signs of illness (like fever, cough, or rash), there is no need to worry. You can keep the baby dry and comfortable by using soft bibs and wiping gently. If drooling is accompanied by other symptoms like constant coughing, rash around the mouth, or feeding difficulty, it's best to consult a pediatrician.
