#asktheexperts is it ok to give two three drops of colicaid to a newborn for some relief from gas pain. Is there any other better option

ExpertDr Disha PatelAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. yes can give in case of his excessive crying because of colic pain. swaddling the baby, rocking, or trying white noise.
- you need to give proper burp and if he or she is not burping than after every feed take him or her on shoulder for 10-15 mins. still having problem than mix hing into warm water and apply around his or her navel and stomach He will be fine soon
- tummy massage or applying gentle pressure to the baby’s belly, massaging the baby’s belly in gentle circular motions to help work out gas
- the mother may should alter her diet to remove foods that could causes gases or stomach distress to baby, such as spicy food, dairy, and certain vegetables.
