#asktheexperts is calcium deficiency a cause for baby fractures ? And if a baby fractures, does this impact her bone strength in future? Or will it heal permanently?

A. yes will have impact in present as well as future calcium is available in good amount in milk and milk products. it is also available in good amount in pulses and cereals and fruits. also richley present in green leafy vegetables ragi,soyabean,chickpea,nuts, dryfruits,seeds,beans,lentils non vegetarian food as well as eggs fish contain good amount of calcium. if the above diet is given properly no need to give calcium supplements to the child
