#asktheexperts if lactating mother contracts covid 19,should she forbade frm giving milk to her baby..esp if baby is 5-6 months old??is the active viral load oresent in breast milk itself and are covid antibodies seen in breast milk?

A. Hi dear mom If the lactating mother contracts covid, then she should not breast feed her baby, nor even come closer to the baby. Isolate urself for 14 days. Take care medicine as prescribed by the doctor. Give formula milk to ur baby.
