Q.

#asktheexperts I'm a mother of 3 months baby boy. He's not at all sleeping the cradle or bed(any flat surface). He prefers sleeping in my chest(upsidedown)or shoulder. it's like I'm holding him 24/7. and he opens his mouth while sleeping

A. Sleeping pattern in children may be variable in different age group so if the baby is active and taking proper feeding with no other complaints most of the time there is nothing to worry. You have to just see the child should not be uncomfortable which may be because of factors like temperature of the room nasal blockage some discomfort like infantile colic or hunger. In older children a proper discgipline is required so that the sleeping pattern can be scheduled according to a proper time try to avoid too much of screen time with sometimes can be the causatihve factor for disturbed sleep.

A. But that is not a good habit you cannot keep making your child sleep like that so let your child sleep on the bed only maybe your child would cry for a while but you just have to of feed on the line down position so that your child learns to sleep in the same pattern and initially the kids breeds like that only by keeping their mouth open
