Q.

#asktheexperts I have 2 month old baby on breastfeed. 1) she is frequently doing potty- sometimes green or yellow, sometime loose. She is passing stool little little multiple times 2) she cries a lot while passing stool. As per my elders baby should do it less by this time. Is this normal? What could be the reason. Please suggest

A. all the things that you have described is totally normal and no intervention is required it is totally normal for small children less than 6 months of age not to pass stool for 10 days also. it is also normal if they are passing stool more than 6 or 7 times per day. if the consistency of the stool is Semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as the colour (the colour can range from yellow brown green to black) of the stool. also straining while passing urine and stool is normal. Do burping for 15 to 20 minutes
