#asktheexperts I have 2 month old baby and I am using manual breast pump and feeding the baby and not breast feeding as I have flat ones and he is not taking it from the start. I used nipple shield too but no use. The baby is healthy and gradually gaining weight. does this cause nipple crack even though I am keeping them moist?

Uma RamMom of 2 children5 months agoA. Hai good evening !! If you are having flat nipples and nipple shield also not helped for direct feed then continue using breast pump either manual or electric pump no issues if you are having good milk production. Make sure that pump is well sterilised.
