#asktheexperts I am 35 weeks pregnant. I had a scan 2 days ago and every thing is normal except the report says the fetal stomach is prominent (26 cubic centimeter). Apart from that everything is normal for the baby (weight aroung 2.5 kg) as well as mother (sugar, bp, ecg). The doctor said prominent stomach means obstruction in intestines.Is this true? Is this the only reason a baby can have prominent stomach?

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist2 weeks agoA. I would advise you to consult a fetal medicine specialist and get another scan done and they will help you in identifying if there is an issue and what is to be done later on
