Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy3 years agoA. 3 days when fever and pain comes after vaccination you can give paracetamol to the child for fever as well as pain. paracetamol can be given maximum 4 times per day. you can also apply ice over the injection site. if there is local swelling you can apply ice as well as thrombophob gel. vaccine fever usually subsides in max 2 to 3 days but if it continues beyond 3 days meet your dr to rule out any other causes of fever

Sabiha KhanMom of a 3 yr 11 m old boy3 years agoA. Usually vaccine fever lasts just for 1 or 2 days not more than that. Give the necessary medications that is prescribed by your doctor while giving vaccine. If the fever is for more than 3 to 4 days then better to consult with your pediatrician.
