#asktheexperts Hii my 8years old Son having congestion and fever last for 2 days. He seems to be very lean. what should I give him as treatment.

A. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children. But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out . Antipyretric like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpfufl . Doctor consultation should be done if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .

A. Yes, I guess he is suffering from this seasonal allergy. He is not ready to take steam. could u plz suggest me treatment with home reamdy?

A. U Should never lies the child and also try to figure out if your child is suffering with some kind of a seasonal allergy because these things can possibly happen every now and then due to seasonal allergy only so you should try to find that out as well
