#asktheexperts hi there doctors. kindley help me to figure out why my babyhood is getting lean day by day.. she is active ..but very lean. what food should I feed her with.. thanks

A. Dear mum, being lean is not a problem. If baby is active, playful and achieving all growth milestones, weight is within the normal range for baby’s age then it indicates good health. For healthy weight gain, give homemade balanced diet having variety of food groups especially seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. At least 500 ml of milk every day including milk products like curd, paneer, cheese. You can give eggs and non veg foods. Add dry fruits and nuts to baby’s diet. Add ghee to baby’s food. Give 5 meals a day and up to one katori every time.
