#asktheexperts hi... my baby is now 1 year 20 days old. He is not gaining weight is my concern. As when he was 8-9 months old his weight was around 7.5 kg and now even when he crossed 12 months , he is just 8.4 . His weight should be atleast 10 kgs by now. Do I need to be concerned?

A. Dear parent, weight of 8.4 kg is a normal weight for 1 year 20 days old baby. As long as baby is active, playful and achieving all growth milestones, it indicates good health and you should not be concerned.
