#asktheexperts Hi.. my baby is more than 8.5 months old but his first tooth is yet to erupt. Is it normal?? What should b done for faster tooth eruption. Plz 🙏 advise

ExpertDr. Garima VermaDentist4 years agoA. yes it is totally fine you can wait till the age of 18 months for the first tooth to erupt massage the gums with a clean cold cotton cloth and give clean silicone teether to chew on

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. If your baby is eating solid foods, offer cold foods and beverages. Allow your baby to suck on a clean, cold, moist cloth, or provide a tooth-cutting ring or pacifier. Gently rub your baby's gums with your finger, wet gauze, or a cold spoon.
