Q.

#asktheexperts hi my baby is 4.5 months.. and she used to put her hands in her mouth... I have heard from many people that calcaria phosphorica should be given to the child at this time for tooth extraction. Can I give it to her?

A. Dear parent, calcarea phos is a calcium supplement which can be given. However its role in teething is questionable. Teething is a natural process which cannot be altered by any medication.
