Q.

#asktheexperts Hi, My 2.5 month old baby gets colic pain often for which I'm giving colicaid drops since 2 months. Is it ok to continue with this colicaid in the long term, hire to reduce this pain naturally.

A. Colic in babies is a very common issue and it's matter of concern for parents as the baby is extremely irritable and inconsolable by most of the means. Exclusive breastfeeding with a proper bupring and keeping the baby in an upright position will be helpful. Antiflatulence medicine like semithicone , probieotics and enzyme preparations may be helpful.f Maternal lifestyle and dietary habbits are also contributory and important.

A. Yes it's not good to have a habit of giving drops on regular basis. Sometimes let it be and cure it naturally otherwise it will become habit of medicines all the time. Give stomach massage, exercise with kegs and n tummy to relax the stomach
