Q.

#asktheexperts Hi madam, I have hypothyroid before pregnancy and taking 50 mcg thyroxine daily and during pregnancy doctor told me to use 100 mcg. Now I am in 4th month of postpartum and taking 50mcg daily but my TSH level is bit low at 0.27 in yesterday's report. Could you please help to tell me that 50 mcg is ok to continue or should I reduce dose and if yes, how much should I take. Thank you madam.

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and it is better to evaluate once your your gynaecologist as she know the exact health condition after Delian’s she is the best one to guide in this . Yes medicine should reduce as per the level and most of the time thyroid level comes normal after delivery. Take care
