#asktheexperts Hi ma'am my nephew caught this hand foot mouth disease few days back. he lives in Pune . I want to know that this disease is countigeous. and is there any medication available because his doctor said it will cure by itself. from which virus this infection spread?

It is a infection bacterial infection usually and it does not spread it is not contagious that way but a proper treatment and course of antibiotics would be required to be given to the child with all the precautions which would be suggested by the doctor locally
