Q.

#asktheexperts hi I give my children all vaccines according to schedule through a private hospital by his pediatrician..bt I notice he only get at birth OPV dose..after that he get IPV 1 2 3..I never go to any government hospital for OPV as he get IPV Doses ..should I get him opv doses or IPV is OK.. he is 10 month old now..

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedule you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details _eof the vaccination. Pulse polio immunization programme is provided by the government to all children below 5 years of age. if your child has received polio vaccine before then also you should give this vaccine on the the pulse polio day as this is an additional vaccine.

A. Yes If you want you can get it done there is no harm in it is just going to be double surety to it and even if you do not get it done it’s fine because the private hospital covers everything so there is nothing you need to be worried about still if you have a concern then you can talk to your paediatrician about it
