#asktheexperts Hi Dr. My son Viraaj has redness birthmark kind of thing on his neck and there are no hair there and yesterday I could see little little red spots around that area I don’t know if it was already there earlier or appeared now. The surface is flat no swelling, and Viraaj is also doing fine. My husband sometimes deal with alopecia so I am worried if this is something similar?

Rashmi GuptaMom of a 12 yr 1 m old girl1 week agoA. Mam it is not associated with alopecia that I can tell you because it is red in nature and there is no hair already so no need to worry about it just check with your doctor they only can confirm after physically evaluating the child
