#asktheexperts Hi Dr. can i give my 5months baby some other liquids around 5ml quantity, as I feel like he is not sufficient with breastfeed, he is always sucking his fingers even after a feed

A. dear mum, sucking fingers is normal and common among babies. you should continue to exclusively breastfeed your baby till 6 months complete. breast milk is most nutritious and complete food for baby till 6 months. if baby is active, alert and passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours then baby is receiving adequate feed.
