#asktheexperts hi doctor . My son is 1yr 10 months now. And weighs around 13.8kg. He has loose motion since morning. Watery consistency. Am giving him ors. He also had fever of 100.8 . Gave him dolo 4ml. Anything else u would suggest. And what food can I give him to eat

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. kindly give ors(oral rehydration solution) for every episode of loose motion and give simple diet made from rice dal and khichdi curd buttermilk apple banana and the natural probiotics from the curd will help in decreasing the loose motion and if it is not improving in one or two days then kindly meet your doctor.
also you cannot give outside milk and cerelac also but you can continuze to give breastfeeding if going on for next few days.
avoid giving sweet sugary food as well as maida and biscuits, chocolate, icecream, packet foods cerelac.
other fzood which can be given are
poha daliya upma mamra idli.
give sachet econorm twice daily for 3days

To cure your baby’s loose motion or diarrhoea, boil the red lentils in plenty of water. Let the lentils settle down, then strain the water and feed it to your baby. This water is loaded with fibre and energy which are both awesome for your baby’s stomach.
