#asktheexperts Hi Doctor, My daughter is 4 months old. Since last 3 months she is passing motion once in 7-8 days. Is it a matter of concern? Our paedritician has advised to go for Barium Enema test of my daughter. Should i go for the test?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 months .
you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose sutyggested by doctor ajnd cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .
