#asktheexperts Hi Doctor, my baby is 5 month old ..we went to doctors checkup yesterday as baby getting fever.Doctor said infection in blood and baby is having red rashes on whole body and face and also not went to urine from the morning only 2 times went for urine.Now no fever. please suggest

ExpertDr Bandana JoshiAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. It’s not good the baby must pass urine around five times so start giving ORS to the baby spoon by spoon to keep baby hydrated and complete the course of medicine as suggested by your doctor

ExpertDr. Swapnil SaxenaAyurvedic Physician3 years agoA. incre hydration by breastfeeding at regular intervals Baby is having cold cough and fever then it can be due to viral infection you need to give him steam inhalation indirectly to times in the day and also keep him well hydrated .consult with your doctor near by who will examine the baby and guide you with appropriate medications in their proper dose. Viral fever can last from 3-5 days so you need to to give the prescribed medications for this duration at least and if it is persistent beyond you need to go for the investigation as per the advice of the doctorConsult your doctor who will examine the baby and will advise you with further management and investigations if any required because without examination it is difficult to comment on the current situation
