Q.

#asktheexperts Hi doctor, my 11 month old boy baby is having incessant diarrhoea ( say, every alternate week) , we're taking care of utmost hygiene..and there's less risk for food poisoning too.. Paediatrician when consulted asked to watch for red flags which baby doesn't have. My question is will the continuous antibiotic medicine usage cause any effect on the baby? please advise.

A. Teething often continue with the loose motions in the meanwhile you should shift to non-lactose milk and if the child is constantly having loose motions you should get a stool test done for your child and giving antibiotics continuously is not good for the liver of your child
