#asktheexperts Hi Doctor, does high levels of thyroid in a postpartum mom affect the baby who is on EBF.. Does the baby need to be checked for Thyroid ??

A. It can affect the mother of course of the level is extremely high but it is not going to affect the child in any manner so if you are having high thyroid levels you should check with the doctor what medicine and diet would be appropriate for you to control it whether it is hyper thyroid and hypo thyroid things will depend on that also
