#asktheexperts Hi Doctor, By mistake I gave adult montek lc to my 1 yr old 8.5kg baby 2hrs back instead of montair chewable 4mg for his allergy. He is sleeping peacefully since 2hrs. 10mins back, i woked up him, he cried , then fed him breastmilk and he again slept. Do i need to monitor him tonight? Until when the tablet effects will be on him?

Yes it would be good for you to monitor the child through the night and the medicine that you have given must be having a little higher amount of paracetamol because it’s an adult medication which is why your child is sleeping constantly if you need you can check with your doctor but if the child is comfortable as of now you can let the night pass
