A. After completing 6 months, start with soft, smooth, semi-solid foods of mashed consistency. You can give rice porridge, dal water, mashed banana, steamed and pureed apple, carrot, pumpkin, potato, or homemade khichdi. Introduce one new food at a time and watch for any allergy for 2–3 days. Start with once daily in the morning, then gradually increase to twice daily including early evening. Continue breastfeeding or formula as the main nutrition source.

A. Hello! You need to understand that your child’s digestive system is still in the developing stage and can take some time for proper settlement. So start giving new foods only in the morning that in small quantities to check the suitability and for better digestion. Speak to your Dr for further guidance.
