Q.

#asktheexperts hello there. my baby is 5 months old and her gums seem to be thickening/tightening and she is constantly trying to put things in her mouth and often puts her fingers in her mouth and around the gums. Could this be due to some discomfort or itching? What can we do to help?

A. Hello dear parent! Can be due to teething. Maintain a good personal and oral hygiene for your baby. Gently press your child’s gums with a soft cotton cloth dipped in cold water to reduce teething discomfort. Use Babyhug teethers and soothers. Good luck and take care.
