POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due in 1 month2 months agoA. At 6 months of age, it's the right time to start solid foods and small sips of water along with continued breastfeeding or formula milk. Begin with easily digestible, iron-rich foods like rice cereal, mashed dal, pureed fruits (like banana, apple), and soft vegetables (like carrot, pumpkin). Introduce one food at a time every 3–5 days to monitor for any allergies. Offer a few spoons once or twice a day and gradually increase quantity and variety. Also, give a few sips of boiled and cooled water during mealtime to help digestion and prevent constipation. Avoid salt, sugar, honey, cow's milk, and spicy foods at this stage.
