#asktheexperts Hello my baby is 24months old...he doesn't respond to his name... sometimes he does..60% he does..he know only 6-7 gestures..he make eye contact when we play song laugh every time ...but when we try to talk him he doesn't make eye contact proper...he babble but doesn't say any single word..he Play running games peek a boo songs rhymes..but doesn't Play with others kid.. doesn't engage with them...I'm worried is this autism

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. development by the age of 2 years the child should be able to speak few words with meaning in the sentence and should be able to understand all the commands and orders
given by the parents and if you feel that they are not present in your child it it is important to meet your pediatrician to assess the growth milestones of the child and whether there is any need of therapy or not.
if child has good understanding and follows
orders and command of the parents properly then do not worry much about speech as will eventually come. talk more with child. avoid tv mobile laptop. involve more people to interact with the child
