Q.

#asktheexperts Hello Ma'am, My son, Prisu , is a 7-year-old child with Down syndrome. He was also diagnosed with leukemia two years ago, and today was his last day of treatment. Last week, he developed a stomach infection, so we consulted a doctor. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic called Zifi, and the course was completed this Friday. However, today (Friday), he had another slightly watery bowel movement. Based on this, could you please advise us on what we can do? What kind of food should we give him so that his stomach infection gradually improves while also ensuring that he does not lose weight?

A. Ma’am you can give probiotic to the child after consulting the doctor which will help in controlling loose motion and for food it would be good if you give light and easy food like Khichdi porridge soup for your child
