#asktheexperts Hello ma’am, my child had influenza vaccination yesterday at around 8:00 pm, had given him paracetamol at 8:30 pm and today morning at 8:30 am. Not at around 7:00 pm he had fever 100.6, had given him paracetamol. Is it fine having fever even after 24 hours of vaccination

A. Yes in some cases the fever can last for 48 hours also but in total I must tell you any time in general also if the fever doesn’t subside within first 72 hours whether it is vaccination or normal fever then it is a problem otherwise the first 72 hours are good enough for the normal fever to reduce
