#asktheexperts Hello Dr My son is having fever 101 and a woofing cough. The dr has prescribed P250 3.5ml for fever and some antibiotics for his cough. Is there anything else i can give him. I am worried

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if requireed like ibupgrofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .

Nope Would not be needed since you are giving all the necessary medicines and antibiotics with your doctor has advised you to go for so continue with them and if you feel that the fever is high then you start doing Thande Paani ki patti regularly on the head of the joy that will help in reducing down the fever for
