#asktheexperts Hello Dr. My baby is 3months 9 days old and he brest feeding around 5 minutes only and his weight is 4.5kg and his birth weight was 2.2kg. What should I do so that he feed for longer duration and is his weight gain okay ?

A. Dear mum, your baby’s weight gain is normal, don’t worry. Feeding pattern varies from baby to baby. Some babies feed for shorter duration and some longer duration. You should feed as per your baby’s demand.

A. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and most of the babies take less time after learn latching and if baby pee count is more than six to eight times that means baby is having sufficient milk. Take care
