#asktheexperts hello Dr. my baby is 1 year old . he is teething from few months . he have fever and vomiting frequently. is it a symptom which occurs in teething or something else . I give him dolapar m for fever . plz suggest me any syp for teething because he ia becoming weak day by day .

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Zee Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever .
Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks .
Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can be repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed .
Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrbease fever.
Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial.
Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoid dehydration .

U can give calcarea phos homeopathy medicine for teething by consulting your doctor for the same.
Also give ur baby teethers like babyhug teethers that put pressure on gums and give relief to baby from pain and itching during teething
