#asktheexperts hello doctor my concern is regarding the medicines which are open for use. it is said that once the medicine bottle is opened it should be used within 2,3 weeks else the medicine gets expired be whatever is its expiry date. is this true for all the syrups?

A. Hello! Certain medicines are to be used up immediately as per the instructions given like for example, any medicine that needs to be mixed with water and so on. Certain medication like paracetamol, digestive medicine should be used by the expiry date. Just ensure that they are kept normal, cool temperature without getting exposed to Weather abnormalities.
