#asktheexperts Hello Doctor! My boy baby is 3 months 3 weeks old. He weighs 6.2 Kg, Height 64 cm and Head circumference is 39 cm. His birth weight was 2.5 kg. Should I be concerned about his head circumference and weight? What is the significance of measuring head circumference?

A. hi dear While all babies may grow at a different rate, the following is the average for boys and girls 1 to 3 months of age: Weight: average gain of about 1½ to 2 pounds each month. Height: average growth of over 1 inch each month.
